Taskmaster 20 has my second favourite cast after 11

Just finished The Seance of Blake Manor. This game had me in a chokehold since Sunday.
It has the same vibes as Hotel Dusk and Last Window, except maybe a little creepier. I love snooping around the other guests' rooms hehe
I really enjoyed how people with different spiritual beliefs had to coexist and deal with the same supernatural problem. It's interesting how each guest rationalises the situation differently. My favourite guests are the Callaghans, O' Finn, Varley and, surprisingly, Joyce (I loved her character development).
This game really needed fast travel. I had to backtrack so many times I basically have Blake manor memorised. I also wish the character endings were more fleshed out - everyone just gets a fire emblem-style one-liner.
All game I was looking forward to meeting Walter but I guess I should have seen the twist coming. Everyone keeps referring to him as "the boy in the paintings" and Coventry was the only guest to have any connection to him.

I really don't want to draw this birthday present for my sister. I hate confronting my lack of skill and I hate doing things for other people.
That part in Onna no Sono no Hoshi when Kobayashi had to make the petalist sums up my feelings pretty well.

Oh wait nvm the banner's back. I'm still scared. Guess I'll do other things.

I was gonna to start learning about ORMs but now I'm kinda scared to download npm packages. This afternoon, there was a banner in TOP that warned against npm installs because of the Shai Hulud attack.
The banner's gone now, so it should be safe now right?( ꩜ ᯅ ꩜;)
Anyways I took a nice long nap and started learning perl! It's weird how different but similar it is to javascript, as stupid as that sounds. I heard that "bless", "kill" and "die" are actual functions in perl - that was all the reason I needed to start learning.

I've finally added a "search by tag" feature to this microblog!
I originally also wanted a "exclude spoilers" button, but considering how 70% of my posts are spoilers, it seemed like misplaced effort. Instead, I made a landing page with the appropriate warnings and directions. The microblog link on my main site will connect to this landing page.

Watching youtube videos is an exercise in misery.

The Death Becomes Her cast recording is, once again, stuck in my head.

I finished Metaphor! Yipee! Been awhile since I've completed a big game.
All three fights with Louis at the end weren't that difficult. They're definitely spectacles, which I thorughly enjoyed. Of course you fight god with the power of friendship - it's a jrpg! Even though Louis is pretty hatable, I feel this uneasy empathy with his worldview. Not trusing anyone, thinking that relying on others is a form of cowardice, only resolving things with his own two hands. All things I've told myself before. Even though I love found family tropes, they do make me feel a little bitter and envious. Wonder if Louis felt that way. That might be why he was always so eager to defeat the MC.
I love the timeskip outfits! Especially Hulkenberg and Heismay's little hats. Going around Gran Trad and talking to everyone was really nice. I also love how the gang basically stayed together. I'm so used to everyone going their seperate ways in Fire Emblem.
Despite being an Atlus game, I'm pleasantly surprised that there are no story or dungeon dlc. Metaphor is a complete package and I hope it stays that way. No rereleses, no "golden" version, no direct sequels.
I'm so glad I picked up this game. Now I'm going to fill the void by getting Pokemon Legends ZA!
