the nightmare is finally over…
I spent most of the day trying to solve this timestamp issue (⌒_⌒;).
I tried fetching nz time from the world time api. It worked fine locally, but refused to fetch in production… idk what happened there. And then i tried converting the server time to utc and doing some scary math to get nz time. But that didnt account for daylight saving. And also it weirdly made all the timestamps the same. Maybe it stored the result in a variable and kept using that stale value every time i created a new post? idk
Eventually, I found out that my server time is in EST. So i just add the 18 hour offset to the new Date object with setHours() and voila~ 🎊
